All About Jordan and His Dream.
Hi, my name is Jordan Anderton. I am 36 years old, born in April 1990 and raised in Mossley, Tameside. I am a twin to my sister, Sophie.
We were born premature at 28 weeks, and this had complications for my health. I have Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, Epilepsy and am Short-Sighted. However, I have a positive approach to my disabilities and always look to what I can do, not what I can't.
Due to the restrictions to what I can do, I believe this has played a huge part in my love for music. I have always enjoyed music, but have extended that passion by researching artists and genres. I was lucky enough to get a volunteer role at Tameside Radio, and this gave me focus and gave me a sense of belonging and experience working with a team. Sadly, this came to an end due to the pandemic and a change in leadership from someone who believed in me and invested in me. My ambition is to have some role in radio. I have a good sense of humour and good interpersonal skills and can talk the talk with everyone.
I have now been given a chance to record a regular podcast which is based on my dream of interviewing people from the world of media, from radio to social media.
The name of the podcast is Follow The Dream. I hope to eventually interview my radio idol, Amanda Holden, but before I get there I’ll be interviewing other legends and industry insiders on my journey.
